Synopsis

In the study, art meets with biology, words with images, human behaviour with animal behaviour. All this is made possible by Susan Herbert's feline paraphrases, which are reimaginings and reinterpretations of well-known works. The first section provides a brief summary of animal depictions, followed by a parallel discussion of several significant works from the history of paintings and Susan Herbert's versions of them, accompanied by the description of these pictures.
