Synopsis

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced domestic higher education institutions to keep students out of the door. Nevertheless, the need to educate students remained. The accelerated pace of transition to online education has posed a major (digital) challenge for Hungarian higher education. In a previous study, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pannonia conducted research in March 2020 on how to maintain continuity of education and quality of service in this situation. As a continuation of the research, this study investigated satisfaction with digital education (immediately after the pandemic period) in terms of device use, support processes and relationships. The results of the path analysis on a sample of students (N=211) highlighted focal points that can be interpreted as challenges in digital education and have an impact on digital motivation. All these insights and conclusions may not only be useful in a similar situation, but may also help in the development of digital learning materials and training.
