Synopsis

Is the environmental, social or economic aspect more important in the case of the sustainability efforts in the fashion industry? Any aspect will change in either will affect the other two and generate new challenges. Our study is based on a literature review that raises questions about responsibility, where the focus is on fast fashion and affects a wider segment of the consumer population. We aimed to analyze the new type of producer-consumer roles  briefly  but from several sides. Of course, we don't know the answer, since the phenomenon itself (fashion) is a tangle of social, environmental and economic interests. There is no clear truth, every change will have consequences in economic, social and environmental aspects. In our opinion, sustainability requires a kind of change of attitude, which means in the consumption of highquality products and durability on the part of consumers, not in the constant pursuit of fashion; and in the case of fashion industry organizations, to prioritize social and environmental aspects over economic interests and increasing profits.
