About the Press
Szeged Humanities Press is a scientific book publisher affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Szeged (SZTE). Its mission is to publish books of excellent quality that adequately represent the research traditions and scholarly activities of the Faculty. We plan to publish books in Hungarian and foreign languages (primarily English) in the various fields of the humanities and social sciences, in three book series:
- Litterae Humaniores: monographs (area-specific academic volumes), and collections of studies edited into books based on a unified concept;
- Orbis Pictus: higher education textbooks, volumes containing studies reviewed by anonymous reviewers;
- Studia Novorum: doctoral dissertations edited into a book version.
The publishing method is primarily digital, open access publication, in which case it is possible to place an order for a printed copy (print on demand), and, in justified cases, the Press can also publish printed volumes based on an agreement with the author.
We only accept finished manuscripts - preferably with a text that has been checked and proofread multiple times. The Press can provide the final copy editing, proofreading, and typesetting after agreement with the author. More details on the submission procedure can be found under ”For Authors”.
Manuscripts for publication can be submitted on the OMP interface of the Klebelsberg Library of SZTE, according to the information here.
The editorial board can publish volumes in accordance with the annual budget of the Press.
