Synopsis

This publication is a Forest Enets (ISO-639-3 code enf, Glottolog code fore1265; < Samoyedic < Uralic) dictionary based on INEL Enets Corpus and elicited data collected in 2010s. The main representation of dictionary entries uses a consistent phonological account, while a representation in Cyrillic orthography is also provided. Lexical meanings are explained in English and in Russian. The dictionary systematically provides grammatical information for lexical items: parts of speech, inflectional classes, unpredictable stems and idiosyncratic forms, verbal aspect, verb valency. Source languages of borrowed items are provided when available. The dictionary is synchronized with the INEL Enets Corpus: it uses the same phonological transcription, the same taxonomy of parts of speech and the same labels, as well as the same approach to analysis of Forest Enets morphology.
